THE ADVENTURE
Join us in the Himalayan foothills of North India for a journey of growth and discovery. This is a unique opportunity for you to participate in seva (selfless giving) and to share your talents and passions. You will engage directly with the young women from local villages who are part of our innovative teacher training and with children from the local schools.
This magical place, these people and these moments will provide deep enrichment of heart and soul, changing you and the lives you touch forever.
THE PLACE
We will journey to the Himalayan region known as Deva Bhumi (Land of the Gods). Our home will be the Sri Aurobindo Madhuban Ashram in the Kumaon Hills.
THE EXPERIENCE
In addition to seva, you will enjoy:
- Hatha and Bhakti yoga (no experience necessary)
- Meditation
- Massage
- Activities within the local community
- Day trips to Neem Karoli Baba’s Kainchi Dham Temple
- Visit to the Taj Mahal

PROGRAM COSTS AND DETAILS
The Program Fee is $1,900
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY PROGRAM FEE?
The program fee of $1,900 covers your accommodations, food, and transportation within India. A portion goes to FOM for program development and to TREC to support the teacher trainees.
- Your $500 deposit ensures your space on the trip and is refundable for seven days after you register. After seven days, deposits are nonrefundable.
- The remaining balance may be paid in one installment or divided into two payments and paid in full by May 22, 2020.
- All payments are non-refundable after May 22, 2020
WHAT OTHER COSTS AM I RESPONSIBLE FOR?
Participants are responsible for arranging and purchasing their own airfare, travel insurance, visa, and vaccinations (please consult a travel medical provider for recommendations). And, of course, bring spending money for keepsakes and incidentals.
